S/V Liza Jane & Friends

We have a land line that we never use to call out, but sometimes it rings and if the kids are close by they like to answer it. I've been letting them pick up, since nobody we know has the number...when it rings it's usually a telemarketer or a wrong number. Tonight the phone rang as I was getting supper ready, and Morgan answered it. I listened to make sure everything was okay, but made no move to take over the call.

First Morgan said hello several times, then, "I can't hear you very well." At some point he handed the phone to Maeve, who listened intently but said nothing. She handed the phone back to Morgan, who tried again to establish a conversation.

Finally I heard him say, "I hate to tell you this, but we're kids."
